WESSEX PHILATELIC FEDERATION

Wessex Philatelic Federation was founded in 1946 as the lead body at National level for all Stamp Clubs and Philatelic Societies in the Wessex Area. Both Cornwall and Somerset & Dorset have now formed their own federations and all three federations promote philately throughout the region. Wessex Philatelic Federation gives help and support to its member clubs to promote philately in the region and to run competitions and exhibitions. In addition to the Appointed Officers of the Federation each member club is allowed representation at Federation meetings, this ensures that the voices of our clubs are both heard and acted upon. Thier are also a number of sub-committee’s to address specific interests. Many of our clubs and societies have members that belong to national bodies and have entered competitions at National and International level.  These people are always willing to help others to further their collecting interests.
